A moment in the single girl's life
Two friends and I had plans to go to the opera. One asks, "Can I bring my boyfriend?" I say, "Why not?" The other asks, "The guy I'm dating wants to go."
So now it's me and two couples instead of me and my two friends. Loads of fun.

ouch. that sucks. if it had started out as an evening out with your friends and their dates/bfs then that would be one thing - assuming you all get along - but to have the evening change focus like that... I sympathize.
Yeah, it was mostly seeing the first e-mail: I'll need two tickets; and then the second e-mail: I'll need two tickets, too. Then my response was...Oh, I'll only need one. Again.
I asked one of my friends to invite a new friend of ours, so hopefully he'll be able to go. But I know my friends won't make me feel like the outcast! It's mostly me!
